Changing Lives
Through Cycling
Scottish Cycling Foundation Funds
Scottish Cycling Foundation – changing lives through cycling. Removing barriers so all Scots can reach their potential – whether it’s through improved physical and mental health, growing opportunities for cycling or supporting young talent to progress from grassroots in the sport of cycling.

Help the next generation of Scottish cyclists and play your part in the future of the sport. Remove the barriers that prevent them from achieving, allowing for racing opportunities, kit, support services or anything else that stops them from being the best they can be.

To maintain and grow our trail network, we need to help create new trails, improve existing trails and hill paths, maintain our access rights, and train volunteers through trail associations and local groups.

Help us run more MTB and mental Health (Trail Therapy) Programmes, remove barriers to getting more women and girls riding, deliver urban MTB initiatives, support more MTB disability hubs, and increase the diversity of riders on the trails.

What People are Saying
“Sadly, one of the most difficult parts about cycling as a sport is how much everything costs. It all adds up and the Braveheart Fund really helps to ensure I can get some of the equipment I need and get to all the races I need to do to reach my goals.”.”
Innes McDonald, Braveheart Funded Rider
“We aim to Create a better future by inspiring young people to recognise, raise and achieve their aspirations. The SCF funding has helped make this possible.”
Castlemilk Youth Complex, MTB Trail Fund
“I knew how great bikes were, but I didn’t realise how powerful they could be. I’ve got personal reasons for doing this – my friend Gareth killed himself two years ago, and it’s been a horrible experience. But I was riding with John once (a Trail Therapy recipient) and I told him about it, and how if I could just stop one person from doing the same thing then I would keep trying. And he turned to me and said, “You have”.
